On Friday 19th July, 10 boats were measured for IRC or OMR (Multihulls)ratings. Bill Strangways assisted by Lisa Bettcher undertook the weighing and some hull measurements over a 10hr period. Sails and other measurements still need to be completed before Cerificates can be issued by the governing body. Yachting Australia assisted the financing of the crane minimising the participants costs. |

| SSSC - Safety & Sea Survival Course |

18 -19th September will be a SSSC at the Squadron. This 2 day course is for those who may wish to do a Category 1 or 2 Race (Sydney-Hobart or Melbourne to Hobart). Accreditation is for 5 years and is a recognised YA Course presented by a YA qualified trainer. Contact Lisa Bettcher-racing@squadron.asn.au. Numbers are limited. |

| Milestone Yachting Agreement |

The Commodores of Cruising Yacht Club of South Australia (CYCSA) and Royal South Australian Yacht Squadron (RSAYS) Geoff Catt and Caillin Howard have signed a watershed agreement that will provide young people with an enhanced opportunity to become involved in keelboat sailing and racing. |
