It's only 2 weeks until the first leg of the 2010 ISAF Sailing World Cup gets underway at Sandringham.

With the event starting on December 14, some world class names are already confirmed as Melbourne once again plays host to Sail Melbourne - the first event of the Cup.

Olympic gold medalist Malcolm Page and his new 470 partner Mathew Belcher, 49er world champions Nathan Outteridge and Ian Jensen, and Olympic RS:X boardsailor Jessica Crisp are just a sample of the sailing elite taking part on their quest for world glory.

Joining the Australians is a strong team from Singapore in the 470 and Laser classes, along with U.S. Sailing Team members, Stuart McNay and Graham Biehl (470) and Paige Railey (Laser Radial), Michael Leigh from Canada in the Laser and many other international teams and competitors.

Viewing from the newly built Sandringham Yacht Club clubhouse will be spectacular as an array of classes take to the water. The ISAF Sailing World Cup includes all classes that will compete at the Olympics in London 2012 - 470, 49er, Finn, Laser Standard, Laser Radial, RS:X, Skud 18 and 2.4m. Also taking part will be competitors in the ISAF Youth and Junior Classes - 420, 29er, Laser 4.7, Hobie 16 and Invited International Classes – Moth, Cadets, Optimists, Tasars and OK Dinghy.

World class sailing this year will be complimented with a world class yacht club and world class hospitality. All competitors and their guests are invited to take part in the week’s activities including the Official Sailing World Cup Dinner which will be attended by sailing greats from throughout the years, the Access Dinghy Challenge, the glamorous Ladies Day Lunch which is being held in aid of the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.
